This is the most hilarious complaint I think we’ve ever gotten. I kind of can’t stop laughing. Also which post are you referring to? We have a lot of them.
We have made it ABUNDANTLY clear that we’re not “pro-British”. Rosi loves the music, and I love the literature. Both of us have been adamantly against moving to the UK. I studied abroad in England a while ago, and I didn’t fall magically in love with everything. England’s just a country; we’re not romanticizing it. Rosi got into a huge discussion on here about the awful copyright laws over there. We have to deal with American politics; I have NO interest in moving over there to deal with their problems and taxes and politicians.
In fact, I was a little unimpressed with London, but that’s just me. Maybe my feet hurt that day.
As for posh accent, if you followed us at all you know that I myself have posted a ton of articles and essays and audio files on different accents. So, you know.
And the Yank charge? I fail to see how that even counts as a real observation.
Sincerely, though, thank you for this. I needed a good laugh today!
